"Gryningen" is Eliwagar's first Pagan Folk Metal album, after 4 purest Neofolk albums. Runahild writes all of the music and lyrics and her inspiration comes straight from the nature surrounding her in Norway. On "Gryningen" (The Dawn), Runahild plays 3 old traditional Norwegian instruments: hardanger fiddle, bowed lyre and langeleik, in addition she plays also flute and cello. Her vocals are clear as the lyrics they represent: the beauty and might of nature, the purest essence of paganism, the countryside lifestyle living in harmony with the seasons. "Gryningen" is a mix of old songs from "Fra Hjertet av Norden" and "Sagn Fra Nordafolkets Land" re-arranged the folk metal way, plus compositions.
